Malware
« on: Oct 06, 2010, 11:33 »
Just been adjusting the wifes website then decided to check how it was doing on search engines. so typed in a common search saw the website clicked on it and was directed to a porn site. went back clicked again and was directed to an educational store....

the virus name was CRiMEPACK Exploit Kit (type 1636)

AVG seemed to have cleared it but back it comes, does not happen on google chrome or on google, ask just on bing

Anyone know anything about?

Presumably you don't get the virus pop-up if you enter the URL of the website directly, only when you click the link on Bing? If AVG is reporting the virus then it's doing it's job. If you're being redirected, then the code to do that must be on the web page you are clicking on, possibly in conjunction with some rogue code that affects your browser. Is it a virgin IE installation or do you have toolbars attached?
