Would you say these tariffs were competitive?

flexible 300 any network calls or texts, or any combination - £12/month
flexible 600 any network calls or texts, or any combination - £18/month
flexible 1000 any network calls or texts, or any combination - £24/month
unlimited texts, 150 any network minutes - £12/month

I've just had a telephone call to renew my contract for 12 months

100 minutes and 500 text for £8.50/month so similar price per item to the last option on your list as I never get through 500 text/month

Found your phone like?

Yes got it. But shhhh it's a secret - I'm not telling the crowd at work that I have it. I find it's been much quieter today without it and I think I'll keep it that way

 - I found it amongst the gear I'd got from the gardening centre. I think I must of put it into the boot when I was offloading the woods for the pond, and as it's not holding it's charge it was flat by the time I missed it yesterday. At least it wasn't at Edinburgh this time

SIM only, T-Mobile. I like the sound of the unlimited text one. I could swap my iPhone to that in June and save £18/month.

What about data charges if you use your iPhone

It would be an extra £5/month for a data bundle for the iPhone. This would then be £17/month instead of £30/month.

At the moment I only have 125 texts and 75 mins talk time per month.

Aye, when you get your first iPhone contract, you're paying for the handset as well. That's why we're paying £30+ per month at the moment. Once we're out of contract, the charges become much more reasonable.

Called in at Carphone Warehouse today and now have O2 Simplicity, 600 mins talk, unlimited data + texts for £15/month. It's actually a Blackberry bolt-on data tariff on an Iphone ! :-)

This compared to 125 texts and 75 mins on the original O2 iphone contract. Happy days.

Horses for courses eh? I'm writing this post on mine. With the amount you use yours, it wouldn't make sense you paying any more.

I'm with Virgin. Free phone and 100 minutes + 100 texts for £8.50 a month. I only use half of the texts and about 1/4 of the minutes.
