Its sad to here another family owned business in the north east gone into administration

I was shocked to here a few weeks ago that they had sold there Hartlepool and Durham branches to a big brand dealer
Alarm bells did start ringing then as a customer whom has used N/Aycliffe and Durham for service

They where good but not the best  they did rip off or should I say took advantage my lease company several times    "we dont release the keys on an MOT failure  tyre costs £70 not £145 !!  "
If the humble motorist was stung then its biting your own hand   or is it just greed ?  I wouldnt go back if it was my money your squeezing me out of

New N/A  showroom looks nice but it must have cost the business to recover over time
Bishop Auckland was a nightmare went once for service took 5 days and it came out shoddy and ended up going back to Aycliffe for repair another day wasted

If its happened to me its happened to others

Its a money making cash cow so something has happened  people are still buying cars at decent money
people use the bodyshop  and service department

Think the awaiting the Hitachi deal is a long wait for redundant staff
They are a load of jobs out there

Good luck guys

Hope to some of you at a Ford garage soon

It might find a buyer and turned around into a profitable business ??   lets hope so

If that building gets empty its going to get trashed by cable thieves !!

Sad to see them go but read similar comments on the Northern echo site. Defended by some, that they only used 'Real', ford parts but  why should they, in this day and age cost more than another make.

Yes  just seen  the comments on the Northern Echo page

I knew it was a money making cash cow  ...  even more so when it sold fuel

A few years ago the owner / son  had Aston Martins to drive and looking at the comments on Echo seems that still  enjoyed the lavish  lifestyle    talking to them money was no object  if they wanted it they got it

Maybe there was a truth in my original post

Hope to see some old mechanics faces when my Big Trevor Transits due for service

Dont really want to go to M/boro

I hope its bought out and saved as there is a load of trained talent in that garage and it would be a miss

Still Durham should be my local  but its a long walk home !!

Wow,

it doesnt take long to clear them showrooms

Do all the cars get snapped up by dealers ? or do Ford take them back if they are Direct cars ?
I would imagine Bristol Street recent deal may have had first dibs of Holiways assets ?
Cant imagine them all being shipped to auction ?

Do you think the showroom will reopen into another franchise ?

Its a purpose ready for just another dealer  or worst senerio CAR CRAFT to poach on the vunerable

Do you think Bristol Street will make a bid to buy ?
With a multi car option outlet  like a  warehouse

I cannot see a designated manufacturer being a success   as Ford has proved  people need choice on there doorstep

Lets hope it doesnt go to the dogs

Just thinking out load  but make a cracking Police station !!  are they still working out of a unit ?

nice to see it retained as showroom garage, probably cost too much to convert it to anything else

Another new Ford Garage to open at Birtley soon   ?

New built for purpose Showroom on old Birtley truck stop

Wonder if the Polar group might offer a take over bid ?

Thing is normally when a business goes into administration   recently reported  Peters Bakery

The administrater kept it operational where profitable  I know some shops closed but eventually it was sold in a few weeks and kept alive and trading

Has this been kept alive for several weeks and  hence the announcement and within days  emptied

I worry about the people whom have cars in repair ?  did they pass there property on to Bridge street ?

Just that the garage at Binchester when it went into administration those customers whom left there cars in compound seemed to have lost them for months  till it was auctioned off

Wierd    it was a not heavily reported   here today gone tommorrow
Far cry if it was Nissan or Rolls Royce
Footballer hurts an ankle and it gets more airplay !!
