My grandad, Micky Tynen, had three sisters.  The youngest, Hannah, never marries. She was still alive in 1944

Elizabeth Anne married a teacher, John ("Jack") Thomas Black, in 1909 in Langley Moor.  In 1935, they were living in Ash Winning.  Jack became a headmaster, I believe.  I don`t know if they had children.

Catherine (Kate) married a builder, Lambton Storey (1908 in Langley Moor), and they had Olive and John.  Olive married Richard Longstaff and gave birth to young Richard in 1944, the year her husband was lost at sea.

My grandad and the elder sisters were all born in Pittington.  Their father was James Tynen, later a JP, I am told.
I would love to hear anything about these people and would particularly like to hear from any descendants of Katherine and Elizabeth.
