"Cinnamon" - Eaglescliffe
« on: Jan 25, 2006, 11:21 »
A relatively new Indian restaurant and takeaway in Eaglescliffe, Sunningdale Drive.  We have only tried it so far for a takeaway which was jolly good.  It is unusual in that it is not decorated like yer average Indian restaurant - bit more ? modernist ? art deco (or summfink).

It's on this page:

We actually ate in this place - Thursday evening, 4 Oct 07 - and it was very good.  Nice staff. Good food.  Mrs Tessxvi couldn't finish hers, but Mr. Tessxvi was wondering whether it was OK to lick the plate - (but didn't.    )

From the Yarm Road turn east into Sunningdale Drive (signposted Eaglescliffe Health Centre or somesuch), go straight ahead to the little parade of shops and "Cinnamon" is on the north side.  If you don't fancy it when you get there you can try fish and chips, Chinese takeaway, or the pub.

And if you don't fancy that, continue on into Yarm itself where the only problem is that of making a "choice".  We have eaten in McQuays, the Balti House, and the Brasserie in recent months, and all are good IMHO.
