"Spectacular crashes"

The intro for this thread mentions having had any spectacular crashes.  Well here's my candidate ...

1973, an unclassified road just to the east of Crook running from the B6299 and the A690.  I was a service engineer for a juke box company and was on my way to a service call in Crook.  I liked to get off the beaten track and, consequently often travelled down roads I'd never been on before.  Of course I was young and therefore invincible.    On the Monday the mechanic had been up checking the vehicles and I needed a new front tyre, but was told that they wouldn't bother getting a new one because the van was being replaced on the Friday.  On the Wednesday I was on my way to Crook.  That particular road has a couple of rises followed by a level stretch then another rise.  The last rise doesn't level out, it drops like a stone!  I was taken by surprise and didn't register if there was a bend or anything, so I braked.  The skidmarks show that I was on my side of the road and going straight, but then the bald front tyre lost its grip and I went down the grass verge.  Then the front gripped again and I shot across to the left hand side, but as I was sideways to the direction of 'travel', the van rolled. And rolled.  And rolled.  It finally stopped on its wheels, but a bit the worse for wear.  Luckily there was nothing coming the other way and I had my seatbelt on so got away with a grazed shoulder.  I accept I was going too fast on a road I didn't know, and I did learn from it.

theres a stretch on the a68m (from consett to Tow law) just past Rowley that has the same kind of dip...but this also has a sharp turn to the right (that you can't initially see) - the amount of time I've been down there and seen tyre marks where someone has screeched to a halt is unbelievable...

That is a severe dip, very dangerous, very easy to get caught out.
