?70 per weak for 17 year old pupils to keep them in school.Where are the jobs coming from when they leave school? It is just to make the unemployment figures look better.
?200 off Council Tax for pensioners,what is that to a pensioner?what will the councils do?put up the council tax rate.Big Deal Tony :evil:  :evil:  :evil:

It's disgusting. If the government admitted that there's no economic reason to put so many people through A-levels and university, they'd save a lot of money on this nonsense, and they'd be able to bring back the student grant for those who were actually good enough to go to uni.  Also, hopefully, pointless degree courses would be a thing of the past! (No more Film Studies or Social Policy degrees!)

This is the first I have heard about the budget so far. Judging by what you guys have said here, it doesnt sound very promising.
