FERRYHILL ROMAN SOLDIER ? CENTURIAN ?
« on: Jun 12, 2008, 00:12 »
Hi All,

the other day,  I  could not believe my eyes when I passed through the village

OK then who is he ?    not the first time I have seen him

I recognise him,  didnt he ride a push bike ?

Not many times do you see a Roman Soldier  roaming the streets, but I was in Ferryhill so anythings possible , but its not as if its a one off ?

Are Ferryhill having a Roman theme on this years events ??

Come on then   ..... put a name to the soldier
Someone must have a picture to post on here ??

Maybe he is a ghost, or a re-enacter of sorts.  Or maybe I have missed out on a bumper crop of cannabis which you two have intercepted?

He is a Kernel in his Army, and he thinks he is a Roman centurion, definitely not Greek.

He still rides his bike about wearing the eye patch, that is him with the patch, not the bike you understand.

He just rides it in a big loop round the back streets and lanes of Dean Bank.
