Ferryhill Station - Empty Houses

Took these a few weeks ago at Ferryhill Station. They're due to be demolished once the last few families move out...

I find it rediculous that these houses could be renovated, quite cheeply, for use as starter homes, for young couples. Yet, there are numerous new building sites, around the County, offering homes that will immediately put young couples/first time buyers into huge amounts of debt.
What the hell has happened to common sense?

I seem to remember some allotments at the top of the bank.  What will happen to them?

I think that they will remain as allotments. A new allotment society has just taken those ones over I think.
