Free Books ?
« on: Oct 12, 2006, 06:15 »
Has anyone come across any free books left lying about the place like the post office ?

There was a Jack Higgins book (partial to a thriller) with a "I'm not lost.....I'm free ! Look inside!? ?www.bookcrossing.com" sticker on it.

looked in the cover and it's something to do with releasing books in the wild?

Ayway it had a number 611-4473742 and you can track where the book has been. On walking back I noticed a cook book with the same sticker in a phone box :D?

And yes I snaffled the thriller and plan to "release it" when I've read it.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather, to skid in, broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclai
