Hedges
« on: Apr 26, 2005, 20:41 »
Anyone thinking of planting a hedge may give this one a thought. The Berberis Thunbergii.it's a nice change from the ordinary run of things, and makes a  nice low hedge up to about 3ft high.Keep it trimmed and you can even shape it,you can also put it in a tub and trim it to a nice ball or square shape, the colour is a nice change it's a bronze/plum shade.
This Berberis is a good deterrent against intruders if you plant some under your windows,as it has lots of little thorns on it.  Only, I would not recommend it if you have tiny children.
