Kings Head goes up in smoke
« on: Aug 15, 2008, 13:16 »
The Kings Head Hotel in central Darlington has been badly damaged by fire. The fire broke out last night around midnight. All guests were safe, but the hotel is now in danger of collapse. The fire could be seen for miles around and caused extensive traffic disruption and road closures around the town.

Memories.......
I used to drink in the Kings Head in the early 60s
My tipple was one snowball.
I enjoyed going there with various friends and colleagues so one evening I arranged to meet a new boyfriend in there. Oh dear. He turned up in Jesus sandals.
I wanted to die.
One very quick drink and out.
End of my visits to that establishment and end of that relationship.
