Newcastle Murders
« on: Aug 13, 2008, 16:09 »
What do you think's going on with these two people being murdered in Newcastle? Something smells off to me - this doesn't seem like your average nutjob frenzy murder. The cat they found drowned, I think, could be a signature, and I think the killer(s) may have wished for that little snippet of info to be "sequestered" as they say in the US, or kept back from the press.

I'm a student of criminology both in an academic capacity but also as a hobby. I've been working on a comprehensive book on British serial killers for a few years, and at the same time working on a Diploma in Criminology. Maybe it's just my suspicious mind but something feels off with this murder. The man was tortured for some time, the woman smothered to keep her quiet and the cat killed. Speaks to me like a grudge killing but that just does not seem to fit.

This kind of crime isn't that common in the North either. Something smells off to me, can't put my finger on it.

I was in my element with the Suffolk Strangler, I admit. But my ham-handed amateur profile of the then-uncaught kill was not greatly accurate, but not too far off

Sounds like a bit sicko the person(s) who did this. There was also something said yesterday that she was found in her everyday waitress clothes, but he was in night atire, suggesting they were killed at different times of day. It's a strange one this one alright.

It was perhaps the Cat that smelt off. Being Chinese it was probably the next days lunch.

On a more serious note I thought you would be aware that the killing of a pet is the sign of one of the great Triad gangs from Hong Kong. Do the victims have any conection with Hong Kong?

AH! I wondered about this! Maybe they owed some gangsters some money, and didn't pay up.

Yeah, but I don't think he's a suspect. They just want to know more about their lives.
