Wrigleys Iced Mints
« on: Nov 06, 2007, 15:26 »
I bought a packet of Wrigley's Iced Mints on Saturday and have had them in my pocket today. They're a very refreshing taste and I've had 7 or 8 today. It says on the back of the packet, in very small writing that 'Excessive Consumption can have a laxative effect'. Bloody hell, they weren't wrong, I've just had to run down the corridor and just made it in time! If these mints cause this, how exactly are they allowed onto the market? People with IBS could be in agony if they eat these.

It's a bad thing if you're not near a toilet Mr. Cat ! I thought I was going to explode. Since about 1 o'clock I've been regularly running down the corridor. Now, I don't call 7-8 mints excessive in a 5 hour period, so I must be particularly sensitive to Sorbitol because they're more severe than any laxitive I've ever taken in the past.
