Get Stuffed Europe!
« on: Aug 15, 2010, 15:35 »
EU Budget Commissioner Janusz Lewandowski said he wants to introduce a direct EU-tax.  We in this country, and every other country, would pay their taxes to the E.U.  This would fund the "running" of Europe.  We already pay more in than we get out.

I know where I'd like to stick his taxes.

Do you regret the Tories taking the country into Europe?

Most certainly. It was supposed to be a trading agreement and it's turned into a useless monster. We now put in more than £6.3 billion more than we get out and people are fooled when they see signs at development sites which say "This was possible because of E.U money".  We put the money in.

We were conned by the Tories into joining in the same way as we were conned by Big Bad Blair into thinking that we were 45 minutes away from being wiped out by missiles.  He should hang for what he said and the lives that have been lost because of his lies.

It was a useless monster before Britain joined but the get rich people couldn't see past their own wallets. What would it take to get out, get rid of the immigrants and have money to spend on UK nationals?

If we got rid of the immigrants we'd lose our economy.

Our work shy youth are too good to clean or pick veg! Well some of them.

Time that the lazy unemployed were sorted out.  Not the genuine ones.  There are jobs available but as long as we give them more than they can earn why should they work? Us mugs, the tax payers, support them.  Make them report for community work at 7.30am every day and let them sweep the streets, clean up the graffity, tend park flower beds etc and send them home at 5pm.  If they don't do that remove their benefits.  They'd soon find a proper job.

What a load of ****e. My youngest son has applied for in excess of 30 jobs. He has 9 GCSE has done an advanced computer course and is at the moment doing a city and guilds in Call Centre operations. All these courses he has done of his own bat. He still can't get a job. So don't where these jobs you refer are.

I suggest that you put your specs back on!  I wrote "Not the genuine ones."

My next door neighbour's son is 23 and has never worked.  He has hardly any qualifications but there are jobs available.
He could stack shelves, work at McDonalds.  There are dozens of jobs out there.

Odd isn't when another neighbour's son can manage three part time jobs because he wants to work and want to save up.
How is it that some want to work and others won't.  Blame successive Governments for that. We make it too easy not to work.

Why can't your son do "something".  He does not have to wait for the opportunity of a vacancy for a brain surgeon.

Applied to Asda over qualified for shelf stacker need a decree for Management trainee
Much the same with Iceland Poundland and most of the shops in his area.
Applied for a number of call centre jobs As he is close to Peterlee and Doxford Park need 2 years experience or city and guilds which is why he is attending and I am paying for his course
He doesn't want to be a brain surgeon can't stand blood but he does want a job and wage commensurate with his qualifications.
I still would like to know where all these jobs you refer to are

Do you read the papers?  Our local paper, last night, had a section headed "328 jobs today"  That is only one newspaper.

OK many are for experienced employees but there are other jobs, and many which are not advertised in newspapers.
How is it that some can get jobs and others can't. Has he thought of sweeping the streets?

I would have done any job if I was unemployed but thankfully I worked for one company from leaving schooll 'till I reired after 49 years there. He doesn't have to tell them all of his qualifacations and then get told that he is over qualified.  Does he cold canvas by knocking on company doors every day of every week?  We often had people doing that and at times employed them to tidy up or do other odds and sods.

It's no good just sitting around.  Why doesn't he start his own company using his expertise?  Millionaire are still being created out there, especially in the computer trade.  Even a 16 year old, the other day, was featured as making his first million and he is aiming to make £100,000,000.

As my boos used to say "Just do it!"

We are finding it hard at some of our sites to find people to work as domestics (cleaners to you and I) especially now alot of the Poles have gone home or moved on to better jobs. Seems like the Brits are not interested in these jobs.

Most of the applications he has submitted have been speculative   No he would not concidered sweeping streets nor would I encourage him to do so. Where on earth is he supposed to get the money from to start his own business also 85% of new businesses fail so any money he put in would be lost.
He worked hard at school so I don't see why he should take any job just to keep miserable old whinngers quite.
