Ian Huntley Suing Prison For £100,000
« on: Jul 31, 2010, 13:45 »
Apparently hes been attacked twice at the prison and its all over sky news.

http://news.sky.com/skynews/Article/201007115674007

They should now bring up his full history in the court and they should also address huge concerns as to what he will use the £100,000 to do.

That monster should even be given the chance to sue nor be given even a penny. How can a monster and a cretin of the highest proportions be able to sue a prison board.

Whether we like it or not the Prison Service have a Duty of Care in the same way as an employer has.

If it goes to court whatever is awarded to him should be claimed back for his accommodation and food whilst he is in prison.  It's a shame that the attacks on him weren't successful in silencing him forever.

And it will possibly cost over £1m in tax payers money for the hearing.

How much cheaper and cost effective it would have been to buy some good, sturdy wood...a length of nice quality Hemp...a pillowcase, and a volunteer to pull the handle!

People say that, but would there really? At the end of the day, would they really have the balls to kill someone, and doesn't that then make them as big a sadist as he was? People who express a lust to kill others really worry me.

That still doesnt answer for why the hard working tax payers of this country still have to pay to keep this cretiounous parasite in jail. Would make me sleep better at night if they made him pay for the bill and not let the tax payer pay for him.

Its just unfair and biased towards tax payers to pick up the bill to keep him in prison when they actually have nothing to do with him.

And yes neforum before you ask im defending tax payers.

I think that I could hang the scum.  In the 1970s I was in the Victory Services Club, nr Hyde Park Corner.  The I.R.A threw a bomb in.  Luckily only one man was injured. It was dropped next to the bar where I'd been drinking only 10 minutes previously.  If they'd caught whoever had done it I could have hanged them.  I'm not a sadist but such people don't deserve to live.  Must admit that I'd rather shoot them as I'm a marksman!

I disagree (90% of the time) with the Death Penalty.
That said, a lot of these lags have a great time in Prison!..No responsibility, fed, watered, their own TV and Gamesrooms..Wireless internet!...thats more than most of them get outside...cos they're usually Dullards and druggies, who when not commiting crimes, are just lounging about anyway...so it makes no difference to them.

We should be more like the US... Work-gangs...eight hours breaking rocks in a quarry, then banged up for the night, lights out at seven!....they would think twice then (I realise that it makes no difference to the Huntleys of the world)...but I am talking about the 'usual' wastes of space in Prison..not the certified nutcases

Don't get me wrong, these type of people don't really deserve to stay living, but I'm quite taken aback at times by the amount of people who profess to want to kill. To apply vigilante justice. The number of people who claim to want to kill a man. They think they have the capacity to do it. Please let it be me, i'll kill him, i'll pull the handle, fire the shot, blow him up, inject him with poison, pull his finger nails out, torture him. It reveals that most of these people have nasty sadistic streaks in them themselves, which by my reckoning is just as bad as the guy who committed the crime in the first place. People who think that organised justice is not the way, an eye for an eye is the way to go, administered with a lynch mob mentality. Is this you? I think that 99% of people who posture on the subject couldn't carry it through. It would drive them slowly mad knowing they had killed another human being.

Wasn't there a case a while back with a convicted rapist winning the lottery while in prison and his victim then sued him for some of it ? If some of his winnings were taken and used to pay for his time in prison a president must have been set surely ? If not then I very much doubt Huntley's case will be any different if he wins the lawsuit.

I like your thoughts on the chain gang approach, mate, if controlled and supervised proper maybe this could make an end to your pot hole problems, too ? :D

Oh, and with the risk of straying a wee bit off topic, sorry, but if capital punishment was re-introduced to UK law you would have to leave the European Union as result
