To understand how I did this you have got to know how the banking system works. The banking system is one big fraudulent, terrorist scheme. All forms of bank credit such as mortgages, credit card and overdraft are fraud. At the time of lending the bank writes the capital on to their balance sheets and the calls it an asset. In other words the funds come from nowhere. Banks are making interest on nothing.
You can demonstrate this by knowing your common law rights. You need to send 3 letters to your bank to verify the debt by demanding a copy of the lawfully binding contract and a sworn affidavit.
If the bank does not send the documents you demanded within 10 days of your letter being received by the bank, then you get to determine the terms of the contract yourself.
Template of the letter can be found here: Get out of Debt Free

Or why not just pay back what you borrowed?

Do I have to pay back my counterfeiters?

This scam may well affect people who are in real financial trouble getting help from the banks. Why deliberately borrow money you have no intention of paying back. That's theft in my eyes

He claims to have 'written off' £6,000 of debt. He isn't in a position to write off anything. It's an urban myth that companies will just let you do that. You'll end up with default notices, CCJ's, trashed credit ratings and possibly bailiffs visits and more. You'll also end up in court, with any judge taking a pretty dim view of anyone trying to fleece the system. Who bears the brunt of any default? Well, it won't be the card companies, it'll be passed on to the rest of us.

Go ahead if you want to spend the next 5 years of your life looking over your shoulder. Count me out.

Banks write debt off all the time. Taking people to court is a deity business for the high steet bank sand  do not want te be seen going down that root. Normally about 10 days after a after a default notice is sent to you.  The bank writs the debt off and then sell it to the debt collectors for about 10p in a pound.  At the point there is no lawfully binding contract between you and the debt collector. So  the debt collectors will have to establish one. First the debt collector will sent a threatening letter. This is to scare you in to paying. And to play on your fear. You a have got to stand up to them they have do rights to collect until you consent. Then they will call you and tell you that this phone call is being recorded for training purposes.  The real reason  for these recorded phone calls is to trick you into a verbal contract which is more enforceable then a unilateral one with your bank.
Here some letters from the debt collector throwing in the towel.
