Charity Muggers
« on: Sep 05, 2016, 12:49 »
If you are in or around a shopping centre and approached by one of the Charity Muggers (Chuggers) asking you to sign up and commit to a monthly donation, you might like to know the numbers.

The average monthly donation is £3, if a chugger can get you to commit to that, they receive £35 from the charity, I think it's MIND at the moment. The company the chugger works for also receive £35, so it's two years of your donations before the charity start receiving. As well as this your details are "sold" to other charities.

The average charity executive earns £165,000 per year. So not a great deal of your donation is hitting the spot.

Most councils have stopped this form charity collection mainly due to the harassment factor. If you want to donate to charity, keep it local, keep it in our community.

It's seriously disgusting how long and how much some "charities" have been conning the shiyat outta people, glad you spoke up on it though.

It's annoying that people jump down your throat like you're a monster for pointing out that other people are monsters.
