New plastic fivers
« on: Sep 22, 2016, 11:00 »
I got one the other day and tried to spend it but the local shopkeeper refused it! Has anyone else had one or had this experience?

We used them for years in Australia and so much better than the paper ones.  Leave it in your pocket, put it through the wasing machine - it comes out as new.

I've had a couple. Can't get used to them. They don't sit well in the pocket.

Better now, I've found they spend just the same. Looking forward to the new threepeny-bit style pound coins next year.
