Have always liked watching F1 but can't afford sky so will only get to see half of the races live. I wonder if we will only get one week of Wimbledon live or the first half of the FA cup, the front nine of the open or is it just F1 fans who suffer

I didn't have the same enthusiam as usual, not the same watching a e run when you know the outcome. rugby league suffered when it took skys money. There used to be a match on BBC 2 after the football results on a Saturay, they went to sky and their audience died

Yes it was nice to watch BBC F1 coverage live to see what the actual package is like as I do like the follow up show   F1 forum   but dont think it has the edge without outspoken Brundle

I am not a subscriber or ever will fill the pockets of Sky

So I bought an cheap dish of ebay (not HD) £40 and it enables me to watch RTL coverage

It also gives me another 2000 channels that I dont really need either
So I stick it on a scaffy pole F1 (non BBC) weekends and stick it in garden (as my house doesnt warrant a 60cm dish and its awkward to get the hotbird satelitte without mega fine tuning-  all for the love of free live F1  +   BBC digital radio  works well    tried  Austraila with german commentators  sort of got around it but all interviews and Schumi and Nico  all speak in mother tongue  ... as expected
When race over
Sunday afternoon  goes back in shed

Saw some SKY coverage on my Iphone as a free app taster but dont think commentators gelled much
So I would be horrified if I had paid £30 ? a month is it ? or is it cheaper now   heard it was a £5 ?

Mind you we will have to see if there is a race next week at Bahrain..  or if there is any cars or drivers left to compete after  Bahrain

Good mix of fortunes this season so far
Just goes to prove those with the hidden tricks in the car always are up front

Last Vettel  with his misfiring engine
Now Mercedes with there aero duct tubes
