Reema Darlington

Had a recommendation to try this Indian restaurant in Darlo last night. It was a filthy night, and we disappeared into Bar 22 for a swift one (right next door) and to warm up a bit before eating.

Reema is on Conniscliffe Road. It's bright and airy, with very high ceilings, on two levels, with a steep staircase to the upper level. We were seated downstairs however. The service was very quick and all the waiters were well turned out. We just went for the Pappadums to start, with the best dips I think i've ever tasted.

For our main course, Ginger Lamb, Tandoori Garlic Chilli Chicken, with a Peshwari Naan and a couple of plates of Pilau Rice, with a complimentary Bombay Potato. A pint and a half of Tiger and the bill came to £30 in total. Very reasonable for such a superb meal for 2.

yes, that's a very good price...!

I've been in number 22 numerous times and it's one of the best pubs in darlo I think...!

was out for a meal in Jeera (http://www.newjeera.com/) which was ok, but 4 popadoms and dips, 2 currys, one portin of pilau rice, one peshwari nan bread and 3 pints came to 35 quid..!!

mind we got a free drink each too...

nice, but will defo try out reema next time... :)

I would advise booking if you do, there weren't many tables spare, even on a wednesday night!
