Zen, Durham City
« on: May 16, 2012, 16:36 »
Called in there with my lovely lady last night. It's a thai/asian restaurant next to the Court Inn in Durham City Centre. We hadn't booked, but they fitted us in ok. It was encouraging to find that there were a lot of thai/asians dining there as well (normally a good sign of authentic cuisine).

The menu is quite extensive and there are lots of things on it that took our fancy, but in the end I decided to have the Sweet Chilli Chicken and the fair maiden had Mongolian Lamb. Both came with a pile of steamed rice and both were absolutely packed with stunning flavours. A round of Tiger cooled us down again afterwards. Not cheap though, that came to £36 for two, for a single course and a beer.
