Dl56sp - Google Maps

Off the mini roundabout where the School Aycliffe road goes up to the Oakleaf Centre past Hydro/Ineos.

It appeared to be the new building to the far left of the tag that actually went up

At first when someone told me about it i thought this was nothing serious until i saw the massive ammounts of smoke and heard the loud bangs thats when i began to worry.

What ever caused this im sure people wont forget this.Im glad i captured this on video and took photos.

Thankfully the wind was blowing away from the Ineos plant. Operations were shut down as a precaution, and the water supply was made available to the fire service for fighting the fire at Stillers.

The water bill has got to be sky high for them id hate to receive the water bill for that company and read it. Unless the tax payer is paying the costs for all that mess down there.

Gaz - I don't think for 1 minute that the fire tenders got close enough to find the water meter at Stillers and ensure all the tenders were joined after the meter . They attach straight into the nearest mains point on the ground
And hopefully the insurance company will cover all related costs !
