New owners have transformed this place in the past year, OK, I'm a bit biased cos' I helped in the refurb of the rooms, but for a great meal with superb hospitality look no further. Must be one of few places who didn't put their prices up on Mothers day to earn a quick buck!

Used to eat there some 15+ years ago when passing that way on business.  Seems like we shall have to re-visit !

Thank you Tilerman.

Popped in the other lunchtime and still, can't find more helpful staff. Also checked up on trip advisor to find nothing but glowing reports

Reminded of this place having read daves post about the Sportsman being shut.  This place is still shut, previous owners spent a fortune on the renovation so its not as if its a crumbling wreck. There can't be any money in the market at all. Always feel sorry for the previous owners every time I pass it for the effort they put in!

The Hardwick Arms is now open with a new member of staff, my son! So if anyone wants a Thai meal, mention my name and you'll get a good seat!
Think it's open just as a bar too but don't quote me...yet, might have to pop along and try it out.

They did a roaring trade on their opening weekend, had a word with one of the owners and the hotel is open for guests, of course I had to tell him who did the fantastic bathrooms! Nedver stop networking, thats the secret of being self employed!
