Well on my quest to find a decent local pub / trough house near home I can honestly say I have found it !!

WHAT A HIDDEN GEM  this is !!!

As the title says  Good food Good Wine Good Company  is an understatement

A great welcome in a very pleasant atmosphere
Fantastic food with great presentation and with a taste to match   I cannot fault anything
From starters to main to desserts   from a look at other diners  everyone seemed overwhelmed by the quality and servings of food

Its an adult pub and doesn't really cater for young children so don't expect chicken nug nugs  here

Its Italian themed but does have a menu to suit all pallets  I was very surprised

Well worth a visit but booking is advisable  :drinks:

53 Cheapside Spennymoor
DL16 6QF

We had Sunday lunch there last week and it was a proper feast of nice well cooked local food
realised you get what you pay for but it is worth paying a little extra for a quality product and service like this

FANTASTIC

I must agree. It's not a pub but it is a very nice place to eat. Seems to have picked up since the suave cockney (type) manager arrived. I have eaten here during the day too and it seems to be the attention to quality that counts.!

Great pizza!!

Rolled out of here on Sunday lunch time

Had the beef

cannot complain from quality and quantity   to what I paid at the till

If I had been to a local pub  2 for one it would still be £11 + drinks    and not as good

Well done Bistro 53

I will be back

Well I hope so  I rebooked a table  :drinks:
