Alright

everybody my names Darren. I was brought to the site by you tube as I am currently researching the Gangs of County Durham from the 70s and 80s. It was from the channel 4 programme Network 7. Ive been away from County Durham for a long time but recently returned to settle down. Infact when I left the home computer was ZX spectrum and later the commodore 64 and in school was the BBCs an Acorn Electron.

I remember watching that at the time. Saw it on You Tube recently and recognised a few of the Ferryhill faces.

Well Mike its quite strangeā€¦ because during my research of these gangs a lot of the members have gone off to do weird and wonderful jobs. A member of the Brandon Casual Firm ended up a tornado fighter pilot in the RAF, another ended up a teacher in Poland mind you some of these boys are now in their 40s and 50s. They all remember the Fighting Cocks down Durham the Top Hat and Chilton Club.

Sounds interesting Darren. Did any of the FCF do progress to better things?
