Back again.I forgot about the northern accent. Whe I lived up your part  of the world, people refered to them as Tyman, and not Tyreman.Does that ring a bell?

There was a Alan Tyreman went to Cornforth School at the same time as myself in the 50's. He would have been born around 1948 but I can't remember him being in the final years so I don't know whether his family moved away from Cornforth. I seem to recall him living in the row of terraced houses that were behind the 'Victoria' public house and that his father worked with my father at Dobson's quarry (Tarmac) by the 3 bridges. Hope this is some help.

Oh,this sounds as if it could be the Tyreman's i'm  interested in.If it is,it could be a cousin on mine. There was Allan and his brother John ,there was only about a year between them.Their father's name was Fred, and their Mothe's name was Violet. They lived in Gray Street ,a row of terraced houses ,they wer pulled dowm a long time ago.  Do any of their name ring a bell? Any-how thanks for your help.Very good of you.

It is a long time since you posted about information regarding the Tyreman family in West Cornforth, if you are still interested, the Alan and John Tyreman mentioned were my cousins.  Their father was one of 7 brothers and 2 sisters who lived in Cornforth
