A confession
« on: Mar 11, 2006, 14:09 »
I have a confession to make, I have been under the weather with cold/flu for a couple of days. Today I ran out off Hot Lemon so I thought I would nip to the local supermarket. It was only while there when I passed the Booze isle I remembered I had had a couple of glasses of whisky early in the afternoon.

Dont get me wrong I know this was my fault if I had been caught and over the limit I would, quite rightlty have lost my licence. As a holder of a HGV and PCV licence that would have eneded my employment.

I post this as a warning THINK BEFORE YOU DRINK BEFORE YOU DRIVE

A brave confession, be glad you got away with it, a serious mistake but a genuine one, what's done is done so no point in worrying once it's safely over, absolution from me for what it's worth and penance.... well you've already said it   THINK BEFORE YOU DRINK BEFORE YOU DRIVE :!:

naughty naughty, but one of those things that can happen to any of us  :)
like you say we need to THINK
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather, to skid in, broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclai

It's also worth noting that if you were taking anything stronger, like certain cough syrups, then you could have also found yourself over the limit as well.  Many people fail to realize that certain prescription drugs can also render them unable to drive.
