As some of you know my family originates from a small island just off the coast from here in the North Sea called Fanø ("Devil Island") and when nan passed away recently she was of course burried in the family grave there. There are three small villages on the island, one at each end and a tiny village in the middle. We come from the village furthest South called Sønderho ("South of Ho") and while there for the funeral I took a lil' walk through the old village and had a look at things. I noticed a narrow street near a small pub and simply had to take a couple of snaps of some of the signs there. One of them is the sign on the wall outside the island's art museum. The other is a sign outside a small shop selling postcards and stuff related to the island. The pictures are not important at all but have a look at the street name

There are idiots everywhere, though, pumpkin, The price of our equivalent to your BNP securring the current government here staying in power for the past eight years my country has long gone from being very open-minded about pretty much everything to more and more hateful, especially to people coming into the country. It's not nice and it's not pretty that's for sure, but with one in five Danes sadly voting for them they have allot of power and pretty much dictates how things are run. If their suggestions of changing certain laws don't come off they are known to have threathened pulling the plug on the government more than once. Idiots with power is one thing but bad people with power just makes it even worse. You'll be amazed by the number of people wanting to get away from here, myself included.

I've never actually lived on the island of Fanø myself (the ferry journey to and from the place always do my head in big time. So much for my Viking genes, eh) and I rarely go these days. But when I do go I always enjoy it loads. Apart from my last visit back there for nan's funeral, of course. But I saw the street signs and simply had to show them to you guys as I find them very funny indeed.
