In October 1904, the Bishops applied for admission to the North Yorkshire and South Durham League and were refused, Saltburn were admitted in preference. In October 1905, Bishop Auckland were admitted to the League for the 1906 season, the League consisting of 11 teams, Bishop Auckland, Norton, Darlington, West Hartlepool, Stockton, Guisborough, Thornaby, Saltburn, Redcar, Middlesborough and North Ormesby, and this is the League in which we still play.
