Manchester United - have followed them since I was 7 or 8 (around 40 years now).

There biggest recent mistake in my mind was not getting rid of Rooney when he was quoted as wanting to go in the winter.

My biggest concern coming up is how do they replace Ryan Giggs when he eventually retires, as far as I am concerned he is the best player Manchester United has ever had, hard working and skilled on the pitch and a gentleman and off the pitch.

Well it might be the 19th time at the top but unless Manchester United signs a very good goalie for next season I can see it being a few years before the 20th one is obtained.

Nah, not a classic, most of them only started following them when they were already at the top, when I started follwoing them they were going through some of their rough patch days in the early 70's.  :D

Remember the season they were relegated (1974?). I think it was Dennis Law who relegated them, playing for City.

Yep, and they had been close to going down the season before as well.

While at comprehensive school (especially 6th form) one of my friends was a City supporter, used to give each other a bit of banter about it.

It is good to see City winning something, although I must admit I was wanting Stoke City to win the FA Cup as they had never done it before.

That has just got me thinking ........... that infamous quote from Eric Cantona that no one understood ................

the seagulls following the trawler ........

do you think he may have been referring to Brighton supporters who may have got lost on the way to the ground and got stuck out at sea.  :)

OK ...OK ..... I'll get my coat on the way out.  :hi:

Saw an interview with Steve Bruce who said he'd asked Eric what he was on about. Eric said he hadn't a clue!  :D
