December 2010 at Ferryhill
« on: Jan 06, 2011, 09:47 »
After a typically timed hard disk crash, i've been piecing together the report of December 2010 from backups etc.

What it shows is a similar disappointment when I thought it was nailed on we'd get a sub-zero mean here. The mean was +0.1 degC, spoilt by the last 4 days of the year. Still an amazing month though. December 2010 was comfortably the coldest month recorded here, with the temp a full 2.5 degC lower on the average than 2009. There were 21 air frosts, and 18 of those days averaged below zero. On ten of those days, the temperature didn't rise above freezing point at all. The coldest December here since 1981.
