Taken some fifteen mins ago on my balcony. No bloody wonder I'm melting today. :(

When mam got home from her allotment her digital thingy showed 28.4 degrees in the shadow (at 6pm). She lives a bit further down the river from me on the first floor (I live in a roof flat) but I'd guess it would have been the same here, too. On my tiny balcony I currently have 21 degrees here at 9.10pm with the sun now on the other side of the roof away from the themometer.

Tomorrow it is said to be almost as hot as today but with a great big thunder system coming up from Germany in the afternnon. I'm not very good with heat like this, I'm afraid, and we've been having very warm weather here for days now. A bit of rain tomorrow will be good.

11pm:
Correction: the latest weather report on the telly said it'll get even hotter tomorrow before the thunder system reaches us. :(

You've got the best of it mate, it's cold here. Temp dropped 12 degrees from Friday to Saturday here, from 25 down to 13 degC. These were max temps. Quite a shock to the system. You might get some classic thunderstorms to watch tomorrow then.  :D

As long as no-one or anything is hurt I would love a proper thunderstorm. Lights going out, bit windy, loads of hard rain and candles lit indoors.

Been rumbling and rumbling all afternoon but no sign of proper thunder yet. But It's too hot and humid to be outside even now at 6pm and I have been expecting great big flashes followed by massive bangs and Biblical downpour for at least two hours now. So far little to show but it still looks and feels like it could kick-off any minute. And my freezer can't make ice cubes fast enough. :(
