it should prove interesting in the morning if the rain continues.

The police were parked alongside the Honest Lawyer, watching as the traffic proceeded single file through the flood water. Once again the Brownie is flowing over the road rather than under it :shock:

Same road a bit further south. Ropery Lane in Chester le Street closed for repair work tragic is diverted north up the 167 to the hermitage roundabout then south through the town to the west end of Ropery Lane. The inside lane on the rounderbout was flooded to a depth of over half a wheel height last night and it rained for another. 6 hrs after I went through it

Rainfall amounts haven't been that excessive here (but may have been in the hills), so flooding such as Credo describes here is probably caused by leaves blocking drains. The Browney seems to overflow very easily these days and maybe needs dredging out near Croxdale.

Ps. Credo - turn off predictive text on your iPhone when posting - 'tragic' and 'traffic' are very different words.  :lol:

Also turn your map up the right way .............. Chester le Street is north of Croxdale. :wink:
